073 Management

The curriculum includes:

1. Compulsory educational components – 180 ECTS credits (75%), including:

  • practical training – 10 ECTS credits;
  • writing and defending a qualification work – 8 ECTS credits.

2. Elective components (student’s free choice) – 60 ECTS credits (25%).

Orientation of the curriculum The structure of the curriculum provides for dynamic, integrated and interactive learning. The curriculum offers a comprehensive approach to managing modern organisations, which is implemented through education and practical training. The curriculum focuses on the latest achievements in the science and technology of organisational management, allowing students to acquire the necessary skills and experience in motivation, creativity, and leadership in organisational management. The curriculum develops the fundamental knowledge and professional skills in the management of enterprises in various sectors of the economy. The curriculum provides for further professional and academic careers.
Main focus of the curriculum  The emphasis is on acquiring knowledge and developing professional competencies in the learning process regarding the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in professional activities using management theories and methods. The curriculum is aimed at forming managers with new creative thinking, capable of creatively applying the acquired knowledge and skills in their professional activities and everyday life.
Features of the curriculum The curriculum includes educational components aimed at developing a full range of competencies that enable graduates to carry out management activities at enterprises in various sectors of the economy, including the service sector.
Eligibility for employment A Bachelor of Management degree qualifies individuals for a variety of positions in the primary level of management of structural units, operational systems, and processes in organizations. The graduate is eligible for employment in positions according with National Classifier of Professions (in Ukrainian:DK 003-2010):assistants to managers of production and other main units; assistants to managers of small enterprises without management apparatus; auxiliary personnel in the field of statistics and mathematics; commercial service agents and trade brokers; travel consultants and travel organizers; heads of production units in commercial services, heads of units in the field of culture, recreation, and sports, heads of other main units in other fields of activity; heads of personnel and social-labor relations units; heads of small enterprises-hotels and catering establishments without management apparatus; heads of small enterprises without management apparatus in commercial services; managers (administrators) in hotels and other accommodation places; managers (administrators) in catering establishments; managers (administrators) of travel agencies and travel bureaus; managers (administrators) in the field of culture, recreation, and sports.
Further education The opportunity to continue studies at the second (master’s) level of higher education.that corresponds to the 7th level of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) of Ukraine and the 2nd cycle of EQ-EHEA

Acquisition of additional qualifications in the postgraduate education system.

Assessment Types of control: current, thematic, periodic, final, self-control.

Current oral and written ways of assessment, module control, test control, presentation of scientific works, essay, defense of practice reports. 

Final control – exams, tests and differentiated tests are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the «Regulations on the organization and conduct of current and final control and the mechanism for appealing students’ learning results» of Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture.
