An educational and rehabilitation center operates at the SKIF Educational and Sports Complex of LSUPC

The Educational and Rehabilitation Center at the SKIF National Sports Complex (17 Cheremshyny str.) of the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture was created on the basis of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Department on the initiative and support of the rector Yaroslav Svyshch of the University.

The goal of the center is not only to educate students of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Department (Head – Associate Professor Oksana Huziy), but also to maximally involve them in practical activities. After all, an important component of the educational process at the faculty (Acting Dean – Professor Andriy Vovkanych) is practical training.

The premises of the training and rehabilitation center are equipped with modern equipment, a significant part of which was purchased within the framework of the Erasmus+ project: Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine (REHAB), project number: 598938-EPP-1-2018-1-LV-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, which was co-funded by EU. The main areas of work of the Center are orthopedics and traumatology, and neurology.

The teachers of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Department, most of whom are practicing physical therapists and have considerable experience working in medical institutions, provide consultations and rehabilitation assistance to athletes (including students of our higher education institution), wounded defenders of Ukraine, and their family members on a volunteer basis.

We would like to remind you that the opening of the training and rehabilitation center at the SKIF National Sports Complex of our HEI took place on December 14, 2024 with the participation of Oleh Nemchinov, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture.
