  • based on «junior bachelor’s degree» (Educational Qualification Level (EQL) «junior specialist») and «professional junior bachelor’s degree» – 2 years and 10 months (full-time), 3 years and 10 months (part-time), no more than 60 ECTS credits received within previous educational program in the specialty 017 «Physical Education and Sport» are recognized and re-credited;
  • based on bachelor’s degree or master’s degree of higher education – 2 years and 10 months (part-time), 3 years and 10 months (part-time), no more than 60 ECTS credits received within the previous educational program in other specialty are recognized and re-credited.

Specialty: 017 Physical Education and Sport

Orientation of the curriculum The program is aimed at providing students with the competencies, skills and abilities for professional activity in the field of physical education and sport, in particular fitness and physical recreation, ensuring the competitiveness of a specialist in the modern job market.
The main focus of the curriculum and specializations Basic higher education in the field of physical education and sport, in particular in health-related fitness and physical recreation with an emphasis on the practical application of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Features of the curriculum The curriculum provides academic education in the field of physical education and sport. It is aimed at the formation of general and special (professional) competencies defined by the higher education standard for the first (bachelor’s) level in the specialty 017 Physical education and sport (approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated April 24, 2019 No. 567).

The program involves developing the ability to conduct health-related and recreational physical activity with different population groups.

The curriculum provides maximum assistance in the formation of individual learning track of the student.

The program is consistent with the recommendations of the project on the structure alignment of European higher education in sports science of the European Network for Sport Education (ENSE) in the area of «Health & Fitness».

The curriculum meets the key tasks of professional training defined by the European Bachelor Physical Activity and Lifestyle (PAL).

Mobility under the Erasmus+ program is recommended.

Eligibility for employment Graduates can be employed for the positions with qualification requirements for a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sport in business entities engaged in the following types of economic activities requirements (according to KVED DC 009:2010):

  • 85.51 Sports and recreation education;
  • 93.11 Functioning of sports facilities;
  • 93.12 Activities of sports clubs;
  • 93.13 Activities of fitness centers;
  • 93.19 Other sports activities;
  • 93.29 Organization of other recreation and entertainment activities.

Graduates can be employed for the following positions, according to the state classifier of professions (DK 003:2010):

  • 3475 – fitness coach;
  • 3475 – instructor in aerobics;
  • 3475 – instructor-methodologist in training centre (gym);
  • 3414 – specialist in leisure service.
Further education Advanced study for a Master’s degree.
Assessment Academic performance is rated according to a 100-point scale.
