2 – Purpose and objectives of the educational and professional program | |
The purpose of the educational and professional program is the high-quality training of highly qualified, competitive and integrated into the global scientific and information space, specialists in the hotel and restaurant business, capable of conducting scientific and scientific and pedagogical activities of a research and development nature, carrying out original scientific research using innovative methods in accordance with modern international standards, developing scientific and theoretical principles for the development of the service sector, using scientific results for its development, in particular in higher education institutions. | |

Theoretical content of the subject area: scientific concepts, categories, methods, principles of development and/or improvement of hotel and restaurant concepts. Methods, techniques and technologies: general scientific methods of cognition and research activities, analytical, mathematical and statistical, information and communication organizational and technological, scientific and pedagogical and marketing methods, techniques and technologies. Tools and equipment: modern information and communication equipment, information systems and software products, devices, laboratory and technological equipment used in professional activities Orientation of the educational and professional program Educational and scientific, innovative, research in the field of services The main focus of the educational program and specialization Fundamental scientific research of theoretical, methodological and applied principles of increasing the efficiency of the functioning of business structures in the field of services, activating their innovative, socio-economic, organizational and managerial activities to increase the level of competitiveness in the market. The scientific-oriented part of the educational component of the ONP is based on the long-standing methodological traditions of the university, in various fields of knowledge, cooperation and use of the experience of scientific and research activities of domestic and foreign higher education institutions, the use of modern, in particular, author’s tools, the formation of knowledge regarding copyright and the promotion of academic integrity. Scientific and pedagogical workers involved in the implementation of the educational and scientific program are authors of fundamental and applied scientific works, leaders of scientific schools and founders of original scientific concepts, have completed internships in European and Ukrainian higher education institutions, have experience in international cooperation in the educational and scientific field, and are able to motivate applicants for higher education to productive activity. 5 – Teaching and Assessment | |
Teaching and Learning | Student-centered, problem-oriented, communicative and interdisciplinary approaches to learning. Problem, interactive, project, information and computer, self-development, collective and integrative, contextual learning technologies.
Teaching is carried out in the form of lectures, practical classes, seminars, interactive and individual classes, consultations with teachers, self-study. Educational and methodological support and consulting for independent work is carried out through the university virtual learning environment (repository). Combined approach to learning: a combination of traditional and non-traditional teaching methods using thematic, problem, review lectures, including with the participation of practicing specialists, presentations, discussions, application of the case study method with the solution of real problems, solving computational-analytical and creative problems, work in small groups, independent work of students and practitioners. |

Tests, exams. Public semi-annual reports on the implementation of the individual plan of the postgraduate student and public annual certification. Approbation of research results at scientific conferences and publication of research results in periodical scientific publications and monographs in accordance with current legislation. |
